Preparing for vertigo tests
- Avoid eye make-up such as kajal or mascara
- Avoid a heavy meal just before; eat something light
- Ask the doctor before stopping any dizziness or vomiting medicines
- Wear comfortable clothes and footwear
- You may feel briefly dizzy afterwards – it is better not to drive yourself

Do I need an appointment?

What tests are available for vertigo?
We offer VNG (videonystagmography), the Functional Head Impulse Test, Computerised Posturography and Vestibular Assessment & Rehabilitation, along with hearing tests (audiometry) and endoscopy. The doctor will tell you which tests you need after examining you.
Are the vertigo tests painful?
No. They are non-invasive – there are no needles or cuts. You may feel briefly dizzy during some parts of the test; this settles quickly.
How long does a vertigo test take?

What should I bring to my first visit?
